 Professional Background

Charity Hagains graduated from Southern Methodist University, where she not only honed her academic skills but also took on leadership roles as an officer in the Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology. During her time at SMU, she collaborated with esteemed faculty on various research projects, deepening her understanding of psychological principles. Additionally, her hands-on experience in the learning therapy department and her internship at the Shelton School for children with learning disorders laid a solid foundation for her future work.

After graduation, Charity applied her expertise as a community educator and crisis counselor with local domestic violence and sexual assault organizations. This experience fueled her commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and advocating for mental health awareness. While pursuing her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University, she devoted significant time to Communities in Schools of Dallas and North Texas, where she counseled at-risk students and their families, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges.

In 2010, Charity co-founded Noyau Wellness with Angela Taylor, a holistic wellness center aimed at addressing the rising mental health crisis. With a vision to provide comprehensive support, along side her partner Charity played a crucial role in developing a successful therapeutic model that integrates traditional counseling with holistic practices. Noyau Wellness strives to create a nurturing environment where clients can explore their mental, emotional, and physical health in a cohesive manner.
